I hate to say this but our bodies develop us callouses for a reason. They usually help protect wherever they show up.

I would suggest you leave them if at all possible.

There is a product called "Pretty Feet and Hands" (type it into the search bar) that is an excellent exfoliant. Acrylic fingernail file grinders (coarsest side) work nicely for filing off dead tough skin. Don't gag, mayonaise is a wonderful conditioner for skin. Mixed with equal parts of salt a fabulout exfoliant for legs and arms, and softens skin. (wash off with soap and water) Olive Oil (left on the skin, wear gloves or socks while it soaks in) or any vegetable oil will penetrate the dermis, to the epidermis, whereas petroleum jelly merely sits on the surface and does not enter skin cells. Bag balm, though petroleum based is soothing for the feet. (again, wear socks)

Good luck.

Oh, the fingernail file, use on dry skin. File can be rinsed.
