I am from Southern Taiwan. People here are bit like Southern people in State if you know what I am talking about.

First thing come to my mind: We have "REAL" Chinese foods, though I like American Chinese foods as well; but in Taiwan, you can taste all kind of Chinese foods and local Taiwanese foods as well. The difference between REAL Chinese food and American Chinese food is spice and the way it cooked. American Chinese food is too sweet to me.

Taiwan is a small place, from north to south is about 300 km and from east to west is about 150 km, which means there is no great montain nor river like you can see in the States, but there are all sort of tropical plants and sweet fruits.

Taiwan is surronded by oceans, and there are many places where you can enjoy green hills and blue sky and beautiful oceans!

People here are mostly friendly toward westerner; and as far as I heard from my western friends, they all agree Taiwan girls are beautiful.

So, come here for your Summer vacation: enjoy good weather, delicious foods, and beautiful oceans! And who know what other great things you might discover here.
