I couldn't agree more. Most people are drones just stumbling through life with their senses closed. It's the fortunate few who get in touch with sides of life that don't involve a daily commute, a dreary job and a seemingly pointless life.
On the religion angle...so many are arrogant enough to believe that their sect or whatever is right, and everyone else is wrong. And with so many prideful egomaniacs trying to shove their beliefs down everyone else's throats (while all the other prideful egomaniacs are doing the same thing), they do what humans know how to do best: Go to war.
So many religions have entrenched themselves and have adopted the attitude of "How dare you believe something other than what I believe? I'm right and you're wrong! My way is the only way! Start thinking like I do or I'll kill you!" Guess what guys? With all of you screaming the same thing, a lot of you (or all of you) are bound to be WRONG. What if none of you have it right? Ever thought of that? Oh yeah...you couldn't possibly be wrong. I guess I have to die now, don't I?
Fools. Closed-minded selfish fools. I doubt they'll ever realize that they can practice their religion without having to lash out at others who believe in something else.

People who look only to religion and not themselves for strength and guidance through out life are Pus*ies! Religion is not about how to live your life within a formula that started thousands of years before, with rules that don't apply to the modern world. Religion is the starting point of guilt and shame witch leads to ignorance and foolishness. Religion taught or learned with the understanding that these stories are only to help formulate an idea about our human existence without the true life experience is fine. BUT...Why is a "wise man" always old in stories? Why is he trusted to give guidance to the young hero/martyr? Religion is that "Old Wise Man", but the hero/martyr still has to go through the pain and suffering themselves in order to achieve their final goal. They don't just say, "Hey wise old man, you're right, guess I don't have to go and experience life for myself now!! Thanks for saving me the trouble of trying to exceed my own limitations!! Whew, I almost became an individual, thinking for myself and achieving something useful with my life! Thank GOD I didn't do that!! I might have to be responsible for my own actions!"
The Earth rules all our existence, and when the Great Mother is done with the human race, she'll brush us off her back like a bad case of flees!!! We're all fools if we believe one way is the only way, weather it be a religion or an opinion, like this one! My father always said, "An opinion is like an as*hole, everyone's got one, but always listen to your own first!" Take care of your own pressures (Morals) before telling the rest of the world (or other religions) how, and why to live and be thankful!! To let external things make these decisions for you is insane!! Not just foolish!!

yes I think most people are fools
they are convinced to kill each other by manipulative and deceptive poltiicians
they are convinced to remain poor all their lives while the rich (the same manipulative and deceptive political and religious leaders!) get the vast majority of everything humans produce
people are fools
they believe the biggest lies a man could come up with
bigger lies than "saddam has WMD"
bigger lies than "Iraq is an Imminent threat!"
bigger lies than "Iraq is connected to al qaeda"
bigger lies than "the US is defending itself"
bigger lies than "Israel is defending itself!"
they believe the biggest lies a man could come up with
really, really big lies, like, "You are free!" (when you are just a cog in a machine, when nearly everything you make goes to the rich instead of to you)
really, really big lies, like, "God loves you!" (when there is no god)
really, really big lies, like, "You will live forever, in a perfect place!" when the fact is you're going to die in less than 100 years, and you'll never exist again in any way shape or form, when in fact there is no such thing as a perfect place
yes people are fools, like little children who believe in a fat man who jumps down chimneys to bring the presents, they believe anything they are told!

Hye brother... your question has no relevance with religions wtsoever..... most of the people live their life without any aim in life...they live to live and they die just bcoz anther one had to go......
i think , one must set goals, short or long, depends person to person. and should move with those goals.... so each day they get up they know what is there down the road for them....

Umm ok>>> Have you been denied entry to the legislation of nature? Have siblings? I understand you will have a well middle - hold that intact! simply percentage it with people who have earned your believe. Look up bios on popular men and women who you recognize and discover out what their early existence stories have been-you're no longer by myself!
