Well, obviously there must be some people out there. I'm sure a lot of the nationalistic peoples in Iraq do, but not the "religious fundamentalist" like al-Qaeda, they actually hated him because he was a secular (non-religious) Sunni Muslim.

He was a dictator that persecuted Shi'ite Muslims and the Kurdish people (that are Sunnis like him but ethnically different, about as different as people from Baltimore and people from Boston), so they hated him too. He killed a lot of the members in his family, so there's probably not so much love there.

But, really, he was quite a good father, he actually spoiled his children. A lot of news footage of him is all stuff like him and his sons out in a speedboat spending quality time. He catered to the Sunni Muslims in his country too, they were much better off than the Shi'ites or Kurds. It's one of those odd things, that even people that everyone detests so much actually have the ability to be nice. Hitler loved his wife and he was nice to his dog.

I don't think that pure evil exists. While Saddam Hussein is a detestable person that murdered thousands of innocent people, he was a family man? What's going on with that??

Who will like a person like Saddam Hussein? He is the ugly half of humanity.

It was a member of his family who turned him in - thats tough love. I would not have given him a feeding tube and honestly resent all the trial negotiations, etc. The man is guilty for crimes against his people and country; they should take the responsibility to rid their country of him. Guess I don't like him. LOL

Hmm, I think that would be NO ONE. He ended up in a hole in the ground like the rodent that he is and thank God the exterminators found him before he could burrow any further.
