My business is simple enough. Ads online for just starting at one dollar. No Credit cards are required or anything, how do I let people know about such a good deal? Personal ads can be submitted with as much personal info as you want to put there. We have a scanner and such. Even people with out the Internet can use this.

Is it because it is a . biz site that people dont trust it. All I wanna do is help people out by making something cheaper. Putting an ad in the news paper is not going to be a dollar. At the most 5 bucks should cover it.
If you have any suggestions on how to make this work better and get the word out on it, please fill me in....

Have you thought about pay per click programs? The two biggest, I think, are Yahoo! and Google
A few free resources – check out the sources box for links:
1) Create a blog pertaining to your field
2) Use Yahoo! Local & Yahoo! Groups – Be sure to read the TOS for each one!
3) Write articles pertaining to your field and/or expertise.
4) Advertise on Craiglist
Associations may be a good avenue to explore as well. These organizations will address many of the thoughts, questions and concerns you'll inevitably have as well as many you haven't anticipated yet. See the source box for some relevant links.
Also, consider signing up for an affiliate program. These programs enable you to advertise on other's sites (your affiliates) and once a sale is made to you, your affiliates & the program are paid a commission.

There are a number of worthwhile free online local directories UK (I don't have all the links but do a search and you'll find them): Gumtree ... expected you'll get good results here! Viva Street Ads Farm Adoos Craigslist UK inetGiant There are many many more - just do a search for free classifieds uk and you'll find plenty more! Place free ads in as many as you can - also consider a paid feature ad in Gumtree initially. Moniter results and then focus and develop on the ones that work. Good luck!
