Ruud had to leave Man United becos he was no longer in good books with Fergie. Towards the end of last season he was frequently left on the bench with Saha replacing him in the starting line up. This did not go down well for Ruud who was the Club's top goal scorer during that time and was also eyeing for the Barclays Premiership top goal scorer award which he eventually lost to Arsnel's Henry.
Ruud had the eye for goal and he scored so many goals for United during his 5 years at OT, and I believe Man United have lost an asset in Ruud.
He will definately be a success at Real and Fergie will live to regret his decision of letting Ruud go.

Ferguson is probably the best man-manager in the EPL and is not going to get rid of any good player without good reason.
I think he has no time for prima-donnas and fashion models, hence the departure of Stam, Van Nistelrooy and Beckham to name but three. Ruud may do well at Real as the defences are much poorer than in England and he may get better service with Beckham.

Sir Alex has made it certain that Ruud would be third choice to Rooney and Saha. So as his insecurity for a plce increased , he felt it better to opt for a change of club. There were rumour of a tiff between Ferguson and Ruud.At Madrid I feel he could do really well.Half of his goals in Beckham's last season at Man u, came of Beckham passes and crosses, so they would do good reunited again. Also, otherwise I think he shall play damn well.

he had a bust-up with his former manager Sir Alex Ferguson particularly last season, when Louis Saha was preferred up front.

he will now compete with other strikers at Real Madrid CF for the starting line-up this season & i hope that he will perform to his best.

He didn't get along with Alex Ferguson. I'm not sure how he will do at Real but he's getting pretty old. Just because it's a team of champions doesn't make it a champion team. Look at their performances.
