Do you think an armed criminal would be more or less likely to assault someone if he knew the person was carrying a gun. Yes, that's a rhetorical question.

I've seen interviews with prisoners where they say they are more afraid of an armed victim then a cop.

The goal of gun rights groups has never been for every single person to go around carrying a gun. It's not about that, it's about choice. The freedom to choose what is best for yourself and your family with minimal interference from The State and meddling liberals.

I agree the world would be better if everyone carried a gun. It sure serves as a deterrence - even to bad gorvernance!!!

Of course, I also know that there would be a number of 'needless' killings, but the survivors of that initial 'frenzy' will think twice (and more) before crossing a fellow human.
'The blighter may just have a bigger gun than mine and know how to use it'.

We should stop burying our heads in the sand like ostriches!! Government has failed the people in a lot of countries. We need to take care of ourself, really. The social contract has to be re - written!!!

How readily will criminals attack an armoury? And how readily will criminals attack dwelling homes where the only form of security is 'Good Old Joe - the doorman'. Why hijack a passenger airplane and not a military troop carrier?

Studies have been done that prove criminals by-passed victims they thought were armed. Criminals said this themselves in interviews. They want easy targets. For the police to justify their existence they want us all to be easy targets. Makes ya wonder, huh?
