Just wondering if anyone knows. I chew tobacco (yeah I know its bad and I should quit...easier said then done). Anyways. When I have a dip in I get really bad heartburn atleast like once a day. Do you know what this might be.

I chew too, trying to quit... but for a while I was having the same problem. It turned out not to be chewing.. but drinking pop (or beer). Possibly an ulcer is the underlying problem or something else.. but when I quit drinking pop/beer, it stopped completely. I'm still chewing though.. I didn't see a doctor, so if you have any concerns I'd do that first.

The effects of tobacco are very harmful. It could be an ulcer. Or erosion of the esophogous. If you start vomiting/defecating blood, get to a doctor immediately. This could be a huge problem. I know it's hard, but you have to try and quit. The effects could be permanent.
