I think i may have it. I've read up on it and i've got about 95% of the symptoms but i am also starting to itch down there. Could that be a symptom as well?

if you have the symptoms (increasingly painful urination, very little to know urination because you're going every twenty seconds) heres my advice.
go to the doctor. as soon as possible. if you dont get there soon enough, the uti can get bad enough to make you bleed, or even so bad that you will have to be in the ER. ive had them bad enough to look like i'm on my period, and a friend of mine spent the night in the ER because she didn't go soon enough.
Second, get some azo. dont be afraid of taking them before your test. the painkiller in azo will not affect the test. when i had my first uti my dad wouldnt let me take any pain killer until after i'd given my urine sample, which made me cry in pain for a long, long time.
third, hit the bottle. drink as much cranberry juice and water as you can put in yourself. especially after youve taken the azo. remember how i mentioned the pain killer? i've noticed it doesnt really start to help until you've urinated a few times afterwords, but there has to be something to pee out, so drink, drink DRINK! if you're like me and can't stand plain water, you can drink teas like green tee or black tea, but no sugar. sugar will make it worse. drop out all sugar containing drinks, ESPECIALLY colas. dont even consider drinking any sort of cola. buy some cranberries and munch on those, take your azo as per the package until you've gotten to the doctor, and even though you have to pee alot even though there isnt anything to pee, try not to go very often, it only makes it hurt worse.
and one more thing. force yourself to not go to the bathroom, no matter how bad it will feel you're going to burst, for about an hour before your doctor trip. they need a decent sized sample of urine, and if you can't give enough, they might require another test, which takes more time and equals out to, you guessed it, more pain.

If this is an infection the surgeon delivers you antibiotics and a few pills that kill the discomfort of urinary tract infections. pass to the surgeon! this is going to in basic terms worsen and then this is truly painful. The itching could very well be associated with it,it sounds like a yeast infection but you should go to a doctor.

If it itches it might be a Yeast Infection. However, if it definitely seems like a UTI, you might have both (OUCH).

Go to the MD ASAP.

Don't worry much. See your doctor. Medication is usually anti-biotic for about 7 days.
