The Men's Wearhouse has great suits for guys in a variety of good labels at very affordable prices. That's where MY men go when they can't afford an Armani ;)
(Men's Wearhouse is invited to send me a commission for this free ad to: miss T, lol!)

Hand made (Tailored) ones.
Check out the quality of their stitching.
Then the quality of their material. Keep a swatch and compare it to the finished product (Quality insurance)
Then order a style from a calalogue.
I go to VietNam to holiday, and have this done each time I go to HoiAn. Save a sh!tLoad of money and get hand-made quality suits every time.
My wife get dresses made this way too.

while you're speaking fairly high quality then you fairly ought to look at: Versace Armani Hugo Boss and a good few places on saville Row london for authentic astonishing high quality tailor made fits. those concepts heavily isn't inexpensive however yet high quality never is.

vestimenta works.
brooks brothers if you're kind of old school.
it seems weird but DKNY has some rather nice suits for guys as well.
plus you can always check out macy's or lord and taylor (among others) for more selections.
