Nose piercing?

I'm thinking about getting my nose pierced. How bad is the pain, on a scale from 1 to 10? And are they prone to infection?

yes it pains as the pain of the ear pierce.. jus like a ant bite...but it depends on the age.. if u r arround below 25 u will have a light pain coz the nose skin will be softer..
above 25 age the skin will become little thick.. which will pains u a bit more..
in india they do manually onli...

The actual piercing is the same as an ear piercing.

HOWEVER, if you decide to take it out and then put it back in the same spot, you have to "stretch" the hole open and that one had me crying. So, if you're gonna do it, do it. But, don't go back and forth about it.

When I got mine 8 years ago, the guy pierced it at an angle and developed a little pimple looking thing. When I put in a different stud, it went away. A piercer told me recently that if the dude is inexperienced, it can make it develop that bump. It goes away and is not an infection. If you get one, just go to a different piercing shop and have them fix it. It's no big deal.

The only thing I find annoying it sometimes boogers get stuck on the back of the stud. You just have to get comfortable with removing them, either by hand or with a Qtip.

On the plus side, I love my nose ring. It's cute and I get lots of compliments.

I have had mine done for about 8 months now. It has never got infected. The longest I had the ring out for was 36 hours. It hurt a little bit to put it back in. When I had it pierced it hurt like hell for about 3 or 4 seconds, made tears run down my face and was slightly tender for a few hours afterwards. By the next day I wasn't noticing it all. I believe it varies from person to person. I got my nostril pierced 3 yrs. ago, & it honestly didn't hurt at all. On a scale 1-10, I'd give it a 1. All I felt was some pressure. I was expecting it to hurt, bleed a lot, & make my eyes water up, but it didn't any any of those. There was a TINY bit if blood around the actual piercing on the inside & outside, but that's all....If you clean it & take care of it as directed there shouldn't be any problems....I love my piercing...and I'd do it all over again :)

I give 8 or 9... I got pierces:nose, belly twice, and back neck. (and tattoos) but nose is the only one i cried...LOL (they said many people tear because of NOT pain-maybe physical something??they just came out) I think that depends but it was definitely #1 pain for me. I got no infections but a couple of myfriends did. make sure u do Salt-soak(?) & don't use alcohol.(alcohol make ur body pierce too dry...)

the pain is about the same scale of plucking a nose hair.. painful but lasts for a millisecond.. It shouldn't get infected if you wash it with salt water daily for about a month after it is done..

On a scale from one to ten, mine was a one. I've had my nose pierced twice. My eyes got really watery, and I felt like I was going to sneeze, but it didn't hurt at all. It was stinging a bit afterwards... kind of like when your nose gets chapped, but it wasn't too bad.

its ok..not much pain, on the scale of 1 to 10 i would say 6...that also goes within a week.
make sure not to touch or wipe ur face too hard.

its not bad at all its just a click and they are not prone to infections iv had dun mine for 9 yrs and still going! t/w it wil be abit sore obviously but that shud settle in a week, gdLck
