That's the way they were intended to be. Just like you were intended to be the way you are. Whatever or whoever created us made that plan.

hahah im chinese but i have big round eyes! so it's just a widespread perception which holds little truth!
but then again perhaps you're not really meaning chinese, as in generally, but more of the vietnamese chinese? im not sure.. cos depending on the places they're from, chinese dont look the same on the whole. or maybe only chinese can tell other chinese apart.
but to your question, slanty eyes apply to other races too!
=)

Wow, I can't believe no one said this yet:
In the part of the world where Chinese people "evolved" the sun is very strong and bright. Over time the people that lived there developed almond shaped eyes to allow less light in (like you do when you squint). Obviously this genetic development is then passed on to all children of Asian parents.
It's like why people in Africa have such dark skin, their skin produces more melatonin because the sun is so strong in that part of the world. The higher amount of melatonin keeps them safe from the damage the sun can do, like skin cancer, etc... (Asian people, btw, also have very dark skin WHEN they work in the sun, but they equate "tanning" with being low class because it means they work outside, so nowadays they bleach their skin [I'm not kidding] in order to appear more "white").
I think the effects of the sun are different in Africa then in Asia and this is why people have developed different defenses against it's harmful rays.

that must have bin the way they evolved frm their ancestors. All the ppl in the world did not form in a single place and go off to differnt places. Every species was formed in their places from their their ancestors. And they all adapted themselves with the natural surroundings around them.

Why do black people have darker skin than white people?
Why do Germans speak German, but Americans don't speak American?
Who do people ask such odd and pointless questions?
"The world may never know."

anyway, ask an ob-gyne, they might correct this problem, okay dude?
