Let’s take it one by one. What is ego? Ego is knowledge of our own existence, something which separates you from the rest of the world. Knowing of "I" or "me" or "mine" or ... the list is long. We all have ego, say for ex. If I abuse you, you will react on that; this means you will be hurt. So the one who is getting hurt inside you is your ego, which is ultimately the base of anger, sex, love, pride, self respect etc. So when we say a person is egoistic that means one of the components is exceeding in his/her behavior. Nature made us unique, in all sense; so it’s natural that some may have one or the other component imbalanced.

Attitude is the way you take things that comes to you. It can be negative or positive. But let make sure that attitude and behavior are 2 different things, we generally mistake for taking behavior as attitude
