although they say that ignorance is bliss..it is also true that half knowledge or none for that matter is extremly dangerous. If a country wants to see itself emerging from the strata of a third world country it is essential that its citizens are educated. It is a sort of chain reaction. lots of aspects such as national economy,national and international trade, import and export., medical etc. so many aspects and more will see a rapid growth if the citizens are educated. besides that a country whose education system is strong can support it self in the above criteria and doesnt have to depend upon international imports to support its citizens basic necessities. think about it. the country doesnt have to depend upon international aid and things like an embargo wouldnt hinder its progress.
besides that eduaction enhances the mind and broadens thinking. it enables people to adopt a new perspective on old aspects, and may also change old narrow minded taboos that have been restricting self growth. this way acceptance, compassion and empathy are rekindled in people

Since this question is under the heading "Homework," I'm going to assume it's for some assignment. The real reason, or justification, the US government points to for it's support of education is to have an intelligent electorate. In other words, to have more educated people making decisions and casting ballots. And, that probably holds true for any country with a Democratic system.

The greater advantageous the government involvement in early youth coaching and progression. The greater doomed the rustic. All it breeds is uniformity and reliance/devotion to the state, which does not build an excellent usa.

because society has become a place where you can not go very far if you do not have education... sad, but true.
it should be made priority because there would be too many stupid people running around... well, more than there already are at least.
