It is very possible. This occurs in situation where by a person has Higher Diploma and vast amount of working experience.

She must hold a bachelors degree she obtained previously. Otherwise, it isn't possible. Also, if you want to go into a "Professional Field" I.E. Medicine, it is not necessary to have been "Pre-Med" or to even have your bachelors in a science field. A lot of students being admitted to medical school lately have held degrees in English and Public Relations (two things today's doctors seem sorely lacking in) and also happened to fulfill all the prerequisites for their chosen university's medical program.

Edited: Wow, I've never heard of colleges allowing that. I go to a top university and they would NEVER accept "life experience."

Where did u read this article. othr wise to go 4 a masters u need undergrad transcripts. but there might b an exception if one has taken some relevant courses similar to th undergrad.altho not yet heard of it

Some universities will do that nowadays. She was probably a mature student and the school considered her life experience etc.as good as an undergrad degree.

Maybe she had a lot of work experience in that particular field...
