it all depends on the type of person you are and the type of person your coach is...if you are a hard worker and determined to improve most coaches should be willing to help

A good high school coach can help his players get scholarships or at least direct them to the right schools for their sport, their interests, and their academic abilities. Unfortunately, not many high school coaches, however, know how to go about helping.

High school coaches can help you, but you have to want to help yourself. This means getting video of your games and putting together highlight tapes. This means finding ways to get exposure, like playing at camps in front of college coaches. This means working hard and doing everything your high school coach asks of you. Coaches will take care of the players who listen, work hard and are deserving of the extra work that it takes to talk to college coaches. If you do not treat your high school coach with respect, do not expect them to take care of you.

It's better to just ask your coach if they can, if they are confident if approaching colleges to help you get in the door. My advice would be to have someone video your games, dub them and send copies to any schools you are interested in (even the small colleges). Basically, you can selll yourself. If you cant do that, always go to the atletic director and ask for advice. It's always best to ask then to assume, wait and be left out!! Good luck!!

In high school my p.e teacher (Also the varsity volleyball coach) wanted one of his tall students (6'3") to join and even went as far as to say "I'll get you a scholarship to USC." I don't know if he could've, but my tall friend never took the offer.

i hope they will. but, do not take it for granted. i thought my high school coach was helping me my senior year, but as it turns out he was looking for another job. he announced his resignation on the bus after our last game and handed me a shoe box full of letters from colleges across the nation. i did get a full scholarship, but having the college scouts come to your game makes it alot easier. send colleges video, your stats and your schedule so that they can come to see you in action.

of course... but it depends if you have talent... coz if you're just ordinary then your coach wont waste his time...
scholarships are for athletes with extreme abilities and if you're having a hard time getting one right now then that speaks a lot about your chances... looks like it aint good man...
