My landlord and his girlfriend are driving me mad- I go to bed at 11 usually as like anyone else who works knows its probably quite normal- and if I dont get my 8 hours sleep I get groggy and ill.
So my landlord is coming in after this time and being really loud- hes one of those loud people anyway and slams everything and talks loud but then they take it in turn to have showers and mess around (my bedroom is right next to the bathroom so I hear everything) and then its nearly 1am!
i think Im going to go crazy- what can I do, I don;t want to upset him but i don't think i can take this much longer

Try talking to him, maybe if you could catch him with his girlfriend, she might be a bit embarassed that everything can be heard in the bathroom! A good set of ear plugs, rather than sleeping tablets might help too. However, it does sound as if moving might be a possibility you need to consider.

My advice would be to wear earplugs and search for another apartment.
I would think that the problem isn't entirely that your landlord is just loud but that your walls are also a little thin.

Discuss it with him, that is a little late, what would he say if you came in at 3 am doing the same thing. He should be more respectfull of his neighbors.

Show him your question on yahoo answers & tell him you couldn't think of a way to tell him about the problems you're having so you posted here for help.

Just ask him if he could be a bit less loud. Explain him why. At least he should try.

no need to threaten with the rent just yet... why not sit down and talk with them? Failing that I'd start with extra noise at 7am when I got up and see how they liked it!
