I think that European history would give a fuller world view and would include US history to the extent that it has impacted on the world perspective.

By all means, take Euro History. Look over the border! It will broaden your view of the world and help you understand a lot of what is happening today.

Well, there's much more of it for a start, so there'd be more interesting things to learn about. All the different countries, wars, kings, religions, etc.
