When I was 7, I had a brain abcess. I was given almost no chance to live, and even if I did, I'd be nothing but a vegetable for the rest of my life (I proved them right--I became a lawyer). At one point, I was given a test which the doctors told my parents I might not survive. I was in a coma, but I remember watching the test--from the upper corner of the room. There was a large machine above me, someone was holding my hand, and there were several men nearby. I told my father about it years later, and he went white--he was the one holding my hand, and I had exactly described the test.

I have had an outer body experience, but it was just a massage. It felt good, though.
