The last time, in 96, they dropped cluster bombs on civillians taking shelter in a UN civillain refuge, killing more than 100. This time, they kill 39 children and nearly as many adults, with no evidence of Hezbollah rocket launchers in the rubble.
Should there be international punishment for this kind of wholesale slaughter? What else can be done?

They were warned to leave? Have you noticed that Israel has been attacking convoys of civillians as they leave? Ever consider that some people have no transport and no money, let alone anywhere to go?

Personally, I think that Israel should work with the UN to establish safe zones in Lebanon that are 100% free of Hezbollah fighters and weapons, and these zones need to be off-limits from warplanes, missiles and bombs. Israel has a valid point that it needs to attack Hezbollah attack positions, but there must be some way to keep a building protecting civilians intact while fighting the Hezbollah attackers outside.

Where are you? The Hezbollah have already admitted they had rocket launchers right beside the UN building. How many Israeli children were killed in the past 3 weeks buy Hezbollah rockets. At least Israel apologized. which is more than you can say about Hezbollah. How many Syrian built rockets will hit Israel today now that they have stopped in order to give the civilians a chance to leave, (if the Hezbollah lets them, that is)

I just wonder why some people close their eyes to the truth.
Devil lives in Israel! Actually, they have this crazy belief that this land is theirs, even though their messiah hasn't come yet and they cannot claim it as their land until he comes. So technically, they shouldn't even be there. The only reason they're still alive is because the US backs them up. Otherwise, the Germans or the Arabs would have wiped them off the face of this earth. They're horrible people. They bombed hospitals, escape roads, airports, bus stations. They bombed civilians trying to escape in cars and buses, and they bombed a PREDESIGNATED UN PEACEKEEPING LOOKOUT! All that over two soldiers? Yes, I must admit that Hezb-allah is retaliating, but what would you do if bombs are being dropped over your head. You'd fight back any way you can.

The deaths of the lebanese civilians in these past 2 weeks or so don't even compare to the civilian deaths of the Israelis that have died due to suicide bombings over the past 5 years. Plus suicide bombing is an act of an organisation not a government. I will probably get reported but this is my opinion and i am sick of Israel using my money that i work for to blow up innocent children.

The problem with punishing Israel is this: if you punish Israel, who was provoked btw, then USA must be punished for the 100,000s of Iraqi civilians that have been killed in Iraq. And keep in mind that the USA was not even provoked by Iraq. See the dilemma?

these minor mistakes are unavoidable in war, especially when the enemy tries to hide behind civilians. Hezbollah is the cause, not israel.
Hezballah DELIBERATELY targets civilians and hails each success when they kill any jew.
The jews apologize each time an innocent is killed and try to avoid it. That is the difference.
You cannot discuss one without the other.

Again...here comes the blame....why don't you just go over there and see what you can do to help....??? Questions like this only stir up more hate....Sad as it is innocent men, women and children are dying ever day...ON BOTH SIDES OF THIS WAR!!!!why don't you talk to the leaders of Hezbollah to try to convince them to turn in their know terrorist to the Israeli government???
Instead of letting them hide amongst the innocent??? I hate that children are caught up in this mess...but I hate that it's on both sides of the coin..not just the one....

For humanity at large, a war is bad, it only leads to further violence, death and destruction. But for these insane people called rulers and policy makers, backed by their greed and ego, nothing is shame. Why violence is preached through religious places, why they hail violence and so called sacrifice in the name of God or Allah. These humans are nothing but butchers even worse than animals without any feeling of guilt or remorse. God is the sole JUDGE, why all stupid call themselves JUDGES delivering justice on the lives of others e.g., prostitution in one place is legal but in muslim world it is crime. For the sake of GOD, you shameless rulers, let people live their own lives peacfully and burn your AGENDAS to ashes. As these Islamic terrorists call all stupid acts of violence against innocents all over the world 'JEHAD' in the name of Allah in countries like, Isreal, UK, USA, Spain and Asian countries, they have every right to punish these insane and so does the Isreal.

War is bad and once people actually start practicing love like they preach, things will change. It only takes one government to change and the rest will follow.
