Absolutely. Music is therapuetic for me and I don't just hear music, I feel music. It can bring back a memory of a person, place, anything so vividly that I am transcended and can feel happiness, longing, hopefulness, sadness, or just the need to get up and dance. I can't purchase music unless I can definitely incorporate it into my personal musical needs to bring out significant parts of my personality and emotions. It's an art form that draws you into being a part of it.

Of course it does! Unlike visual arts, music affects our subconscious mind. For example, have you ever taken your lunch on a fast foor restaurant? Have you noticed that they play fast moving sounds during those busy hours? Subconsciously, our minds react to that music to move faster. Therefore, we take our lunch a little bit fast paced (eventhough we don't notice that). Another example, if you go to a church nowadays before they start their messages or masses, they have this Praise and Worship, most people doesnt realize that it is a tool used to make your mind in tune with the message the pastor will deliver after the songs you've just sung. It is like setting your mood inside the church. Another example, some office even use relaxing music (music which is not that fast nor too slow) within their workspace to make the office a much better working environment. As some old people would say, music is the language of the soul.

definitly. When i feel sad or down, i listen to my favorite kind of music. It gets the problems off of my head because i am focusing on the music, therefore i feel better. If i am happy and i listen to a song that is sad, that reminds me of someone that has passed, etc. I feel sad or bummed out. I think music has more control then we give it credit for. Music can change the way we feel and live.

Well yea music can do all of that.... But i usually listen to the same type of music happy, sad, mad, chillin. But either way it makes me feel much better than i was. I'm listening to some music right now and it makes me wanna dance but i should be alseep, so i guess i should be listening to some classical music or soemthing.

i listen to music that reflects my mood if I have a choice. but there are songs that put me in a better mood, really good artists, and people who can sing do that. rarely does a song make me sad, except when its attached to a memory of a person I no longer can talk to .

Heck yes it can! Music has a BIG effect on how I feel...usually it just makes me insanely happy.
if I'm feeling down, stresses, or pressured, all I have to do is drive down the highway with the window down and blast All Across the Watchtower by Hendrix and I feel completely releived. Listening to good old rock n' roll has that effect on me.

Yes music can change your mood. I like cleaning my home while listening to music, and it makes cleaning fun. For me, music makes you feel good no matter what your mood.

Of course. Music can stimulate your mind. However, it may not change your mood that easily. For instance, you may be depressed and music may not make you happy all of a sudden.
