Yeah seriously and I'm not even from the south... I visitied New Orleans few years back and a friend took me to Shoney's and I thought I died and went to heaven....only in the south do you find respect and care in making delectable dishes. So when I came back down here to live the restaurants started closing up.... I think there might be one or two here in Maryland but haven't seen many others.. .. didn't know about the lawsuits that would explain a lot right there.

We have a few where I am, but we also have Hometown Buffet, Golden Corral (which is the bomb!) and Denny's. I think the new buffets are running them out of business.

They expanded to quickly and ran out of capital to pay back debt. I used to have one in my hometown, but the vendors stopped supplying it since they hardly received payments from the company.

I believe they exsist still they are just not nearly as common. It used to be they were practically on every street, and now you have to sort of go looking for one. Try www.shoneys.com and see if they have a store locator for your area.
