Coffee Anun is too chickenshlt to do anything but cover up his own scandals. The U.N. is and always has been anti USA. Screw them, we'd be better off without this fraudulent organization masking as dogooders.

Just read BeachBum's answer and you will have part of your answer. The writer hasn't even bothered to read your question or if they have read it they have no idea what you are asking. This is the overall posture of a large portion of the US and World population.
Personally I think the UN hates the US and anyone associated with it. Since Israel is associated with the US it cannot possibly be seen as a nation under attack but must be the aggressor in any altercations. The people, including a former US President, who would sign over the US to the UN to do with as it pleased frighten me more than all the terrorists on this or any other planet. Can you imagine the US military going house to house across the country collecting guns at the direction of some UN Secretary General? That is exactly what could happen, and please don‘t kid yourself, I am serious and they are as well.
Now to be fair though, Israel showed weakness by trading a large group of prisoners for a handful of Israelis a few years ago. Why wouldn't the terrorists try it again, after all it worked once.
Israel has absorbed more punishment than any sane nation would and much of that absorption was due to US pressure. Then to turn and actually attack the ones killing her citizens can only be an unfounded act of aggression.
I may be too much of a hawk, but as far as I am concerned, the more damage Israel does to the terrorist factions the better I like it. As someone once asked, how long would the US put up with Mexican rebels firing rockets across the border into El Paso, TX? My bet is not long...
On December 7, 1941 the Japanese Navy attacked a US possession killing about 2400 people. The next day FDR asked for and was granted a declaration of war against Japan, the attacker, and Germany, a country that had nothing to do with the attack. He is regaled as a national hero and superb leader. On 9/11 we lost over 3000 people to an attack on American soil. George W. Bush responded and he is moron, a monkey boy, a dummy and other words my computer can’t spell. Now israel has joined that fight. So you figure it out, I’m just glad I am getting old enough that I won’t have to put up with it much longer.
Sorry, I was a bit wordy and perhaps I wandered a bit but I think you get the idea.

I believe Isreal should keep on defending herself.
Beach Bum, do you understand that terrorists have been blowing up people in Israel since 1948 when it was created? ( By the UN no less ) The Arabs have been doing terrorist attacks like the bus attack mentioned above for over 50 years there.

No, Israel must do what they feel in their heart is the right thing to do...it's just to bad the terrorists are such cowards hiding among all the innocent people...The UN is slow to react but we as a people...not as Jews or Christians or Muslims..but "As ONE" should be united to help end this crises and stop all the innocent people from being killed!!!!

Good question! I don't have an answer for you, other than that the people in the rest of the world don't see Israel as a legitimate country. Believe it or not, a lot of people out there still hate Jews and what they stand for.

Just to make sure you don't miss the most outrageously ridiculous 'answer' so far posted ---
"...The truth is obvious and clear: Israelis start cruelty and Hezbollah gives response in return. Israelis kill innocent people while Hezbollah targets military and economic centers. That is the difference..."
So far, the other responses have been dead on.

I love how conservatives always play themselves to be the victim. You want the UN condemning terror attacks against Israel civilians?

Of course the UN is against terrorism – but terrorism of all kinds, not just the one that insidiously takes the form of a non-state actor. The UN was founded to promote peace, so of course it will take exception when a building containing hundreds of civilians is bombed just as when a bus containing 40 people is destroyed. There is just no sense of justice among blind supporters of Israel who refuse to see that the loss of life, while equally deplorable on both sides, is greater in number on the other side.
Of course Israel must take steps to defend herself; that is a given. What is not a given is the loss of such large numbers of innocent life. An act of aggression is not necessarily one made entirely in self-defense. A measured response is always more welcome than a disproportionate one, and in this latest conflict Israel for whatever reason has chosen the latter. Disagree with the UN's opinion; defend the strong course of action Israel has taken. Just please stop with the anti-UN crap. It's baseless and whiny besides.

Israel is not an oil producing nation.
Many of the top oil producing nations are Muslim.
They don't want to tick them off.
Talk about blood for oil.
Here's the terrorist headquarters.

Welcome to the world of liberal bias media.
Every time a terrorist blows up on a bus, in a wedding, or a restaurant, you'd like to call up the Hezbollah, or take one of their militants, strap him to a catapult with a few tons of TNT, and shoot him back into Syria....he should make quite an impact....in more ways than one.
