There are many problems, but there is not enough room here to elaborate on them.

Additionally, my idea of what the biggest problem is probably differs from the 250 million residents of the U.S.

Sigh...where do you start?

There are SO many problems and those problems are so complicated, I doubt they will ever be resolved. EVER.

I probably won't live long enough (and thankful that I won't) to see the government overthrown and either replaced with another form of government or started all over again.

It's like a draftsman designing a very complicated blueprint. It gets SO complicated and SO messed up that to fix it wouild be nearly impossible, so the best thing to do is just toss it in the little trash can on the floor and start all over again.

I think that the biggest problem with the US government currently is there is too much centralized power with the president right now. The President has taken steps that are way outside his realm of authority and no one is questioning it because the Senate and the House are run by Republicans and they aren't going to "tattle tale" on one of their own. There needs to be a balance of power between the branches and what political party runs them. Currently, there just isn't one. Because of this, the government has been making lots of bad decisions lately.

we are bogged down by a congress that cannot move off its butt. They preach and promise but do very little. I have never seen it to be this bad in the years that I have been around. Is it our president who cannot control congress? I don't think so. I think it is the group of politicians (both Republicans and Democrats) who are so involved with accosting each other that things don't get done. The people are very upset over this ineptitude and we can do something about it this election day; however, the new batch that will come in will probably be as bad as the old one. A very unhappy and dangerous situation for America.

The corrupt unions and their outrageous demands on American industries. they have led the country into socialism and are the main considerable reason Obama is president. If shall we've controlled the unions, we does not be interior the mess we are in now. i became a union member for terribly some years until the business enterprise folded because of union demands. I lost my interest. I have been given yet another union interest yet became finally promoted to supervisor. That business enterprise too, folded while it ought to no longer compete with an identical type product coming from foreign places. I lost my interest returned! ultimately, I have been given a job as a supervisor for a business enterprise that keeps to be in enterprise. I retired with an rather extreme high quality pension am in very solid economic subject. because of fact the business enterprise is international, they do no longer would desire to manage the unions. it particularly is why they are nevertheless in enterprise. yet they had to circulate out of united states of america to try this.

Professional politicians. There are too many people that have done nothing but politics all their lives and are second or third generation politicians. They have lost touch with what reality is like in the "constituents" world.

They are complacent. They are a bunch of ineffective fat old men who cannot govern their own selfish desires, yet they are in government over millions of people. Everyone should hold their representatives responsible for their actions and vote accordingly.

It tells US- what to do!!! Weren't WE the ones who were supposed to be deciding what our govenment- did? We've created a self-serving "monster", that raises its own pay, spares no expense in keeping it's members in office, decides how many of our sons & daughters are to die in the name of patriotism in deserts far away, - and one that chases the almighty business dollar all the way up to steps of the Court House & its ultimate bankruptcy.
