Do you believe in women's rights and the right to participate and do anything males can do? Do you think than women should be allowed to join any organization that only allows for men to register? If you do, have you, or are you planning to, try and register for the military draft? If not, why not? This is not a discussion of the merits of the draft, or military service, but whether you choose to exercise all your rights, or do you only choose to exercise those that are convenient and does not require a committed responsibility?

Even male Jehovah's Witnesses, who don't believe in participating in the military, still register.

If you have tried, what was the result?

As for the young men who want to add their own comments, please don't. Take this time to just listen and learn.

This question is put this girls this age range because they are currently directly affected by it. If I were asking males, it would be to the same age range. If I were asking about something like Breast Cancer, than it would be to another age range.

I do believe in that. I mean I also think its okay to have clubs that allow only men-- the Masons are like that, yes? And clubs that allow only women-- Isn't there a club called Daughters of the Confederacy?

I'm not registering for Selective Service because I'm female and I don't think we can... I know in high school if you were in the A+ program you had too-- if you were male. Can females sign up? And you are right-- I do not want to.

I don't want to go to war, and I know a lot of men don't either. There are a few reasons for my decision. But, I will admit this: If there was a need to start drafting people, then yes, I suppose it would be fair to draft women. (Though, wouldn't there be an exception, that if two parents were in the military, one would be allowed to stay home? I don't mean the mom necessarily, I mean whoever the family decides needs to stay.)

Yes I believe in women's rights's and our right to participate and do anything males can do. I can understand where lines must be drawn. For example like football. Now that is a sport women may not need to be on the same team as other men. But they can still play the sport. But even with that said. My friend was the first female to play on her schools football team and was pretty darn good at it.....While still on the topic of sports, a place where women and men are often separated I think men's and women's golf is stupid. Why in the hell do men have to play separate from women in a game like golf?! The other day I heard of the women chess league! What the heck is that? I could go on and on, but those are things that have been bothering me recently.

I believe everyone should serve in the military...

however i also believe that combat should be reserved for people who can physically keep up. There should be an examination to prove that an individual can "keep up" as it were, so that a very strong woman would be able to fight, but a weak man couldnt.

even if you cant fight, you can still serve your country; be a medic, or an engineer or a pilot or something
