For whatever the reason, it will be a hard time for children when the dad is in prison and on work release. It will then be depend on the case, whether the dad is in prison because of a criminal case or because of other such as politic, and the family relationship established by the dad so far. I found that some children of a dad in prison because of political reason are totally support their dad, mentally and financially, even though their life may become more difficult.

You'll need to contact the state/county Child Support Enforcement where YOU LIVE, they will get the info they need to pursue this and make sure you get what he owes!

the only time my mom got child support, was when my dad was in the work release program. i would contact the child support division, and the work release center, as they would be able to help you.
