Oh, great, another thing for you to worry about:
Itching during pregnancy is a common symptom. What many women don't realize, however, is that sometimes itching can be a sign of a liver abnormality called intrahepatic (within the liver) cholestasis (pooling of bile salts) of pregnancy. When associated with itching, the skin component is called pruritus gravidarum. It is a rare condition occurring in 1-2/10,000 pregnancies in North America, Asia and Europe. In Chile it occurs in 2% of pregnancies, while in Sweden it has been reported in up to 14% of pregnant women. It is more common in the last 3 months of pregnancy and with twin pregnancies. It recurs in subsequent pregnancies in 60-70% of women. About half the time it is associated with yellow jaundice.

It's fairly normal for your bump to itch and I remember being itchy 'cos my skin dried out. But I would see your Dr. There is a thing called cholestasis of pregnancy in which the main symptom is itching. It can cause problems so I'd get it checked out just to be sure,

i was itching all over my body around 32 weeks of pregnancy i itched so bad i used to bleed on my belly its because your skin stretches all over later into the pregnancy but there is something called pupps itchingin pregnancyIt stands for Pruritic Urticarial Papules and Plaques of Pregnancy (or just itchy skin bumps). PUPPPs is a benign, harmless skin condition, but nonetheless a thoroughly annoying one, and is often very distressing for the mother-to-be. Typically characterised by a rash, which appears in the later stages of pregnancy, it tends to develop on the abdomen near the umbilical area and spreads to the arms, thighs and extremities. Often the itching becomes very intense. It can, and usually does, spread to the rest of the body but rarely involves the face. Many women compare their appearances to scalds. Others remark that the itch becomes so unbearable late at night that they must tape gloves to their hands to ensure they won't scratch themselves to the point of bleeding while they sleep.if you think it is calamine lotion works wonders talk to your GP if your skin is inflamed, blistered, or you have a rash, irritation or itchiness that lasts more than a couple of days.
did you know that itching on your hands and feet is a sign of a rare liver disorder that only occurs in pregnancy so next time you see midwife or dr tell them about your itchiness but its probley because your skin changes in pregnancy i had this to good luck to you and your baby

When I was pregnant with my son, I itched pretty bad in the last couple of weeks. Especially my stomach and legs. I think my stomach itched so bad because my stomach had stretched so much, and the skin gets dry and just hurts from being stretched, that it itches.
good luck and congrats!

I haven't experienced it myself but in my little pregnancy handbook the doctor gave me it says your whole body itching like that is one of the reasons to go into the dr/ hospital immediately!
So if I were you I would just go in to be safe!

I've heard of an old wives tale that if your belly itches alot, it means that your baby is gonna have a lot of hair.

Hi. I am a twin and my mom said that she itched with us and i remember her itching with the other 2 pregnancies too. Her doc told her it was a fluctuation of hormones causing it, and there wasn't much you can do for it. He also told her that she was "allergic" to pregnancy due to her itching with all of them( he wasn't serious)....lol. GL and congrats with your new baby very soon.
