We all see people exposing their poor educations and laziness by spelling words incorrectly. Everyone makes typos once in awhile, that's no problem, and some people aren't native English speakers--again no problem. It's the constant misuses of "too/to", "you're/your" and the misspellings of "definately" and even "teh" by people who should know better that is irksome.
Their ideas may have some merit, but they embarrass themselves and cast doubt on their overall thought processes by revealing these shortcomings to the whole world in a few keystrokes. What's more, we don't have the time to decipher the cyber-equivalent of chicken-scratch.

I agree, if what you are trying to say is important enough to type, it is important enough to spell correctly. This problem is especially bothersome as there is a spell check button on top of the area in which you write an entry. Perhaps people who misspell words are just too lazy to click the button.

You're right. Idiots keep using slang and bad spelling for lack of a real education or vocabulary. Go back to school idiots!
Slang only hurts your chances of finding a good job and being respected by those who are in a position to help you (IE: CEO"s, teachers, any job, congress, meeting people from other countries etc.).
This is why others think we Americans are stupid. Too many sub-cultures. Remember if you heard it on ANY Rap song it's wrong.

I too wonder what has happened with the importance of spelling in schools today.
Slang and abbreviations are part of the sms culture and here to stay but sheer laziness is woeful. There is the Check Spelling button here to use after all but very few folk seem to know what it is there for

This is no a question but I very appreciate to answer ^_^
The development of internet has brought about new language called language @ age. There are many reasons why language changing to this bad way.
For example, in my case, I'm not an Enlish speaker - there are thousands of English words I don't know ^_^ or I may know but I don't know to to spell - what should I do ? give up ? be quiet?

A few corrections:
- The word education should NOT be pluralized (educationS)
- "Misuses" can only be used as a present tense VERB! You used it wrong.
So - I insist that you cease and desist from 'calling the kettle black!'
Also, maybe it's just that people don't CARE!!!!!!!

You're right. Some people might make a mistake here and there, but over all people do know what they're typing and should fix it so we don't waste our time trying to figure out what they're trying to say. "And I kno dat ppl use slang in they typin now, cuz i do it 2, but type so ppl can understand wut u tryna say."
