Ok I'm thinking that if it worked for Germany for so long maybe the world should reinstate the idea. I say if 2 countries cannot get along, we build a big wall around them. They've been fighting long enough, time to send them to their own corners. Anybody with me on this one? Please only semi-intelligent answers. If you don't know the wall I'm talking about, save us all the trouble and don't respond. Yes I know I'm a stupid american, its been said, I don't need somebody who can't speak english, or under an 8th grade education to tell me that.

ps..I'm guessing you haven't realized I was more joking than anything, right? But seriously though, why is it if you don't have popular opinion you are automatically considered stupid? Wouldn't the judgemental one, who had a closed mind and an open mouth, take the lead? Just a thought.

pss... can some of you people just not read or are you just selectively picking out random words? Yes I know the history behind Germany, yes I know you think I'm stupid because I made a joke too many of you are too stupid to get (which tells me you don't know the history) but please atleast read the ENTIRE thing before you launch into a tirade.

As a matter of fact, Israel IS building a wall around Gaza and West Bank. The problem is, the Palestinians cannot work in Israel and the financial hardship they endure will breed more resentments against Israel and the western countries which support Israel (mainly US!).
The only lasting solution for peace is for the G8 countries to chip in to build up an industry infrastructure for the Palestinians so they can focus on making a living rather than throwing rocks and building bombs. There are plenty of intellectuals among the Palestinians who would be great participants in the economic construction of the Palestinian state (assuming that we also help them reach state-hood), but that generation is dying off. The new generation who grew up in the refugee camps would know only AK-47s and bombs. Time is running out. We need to get the peace process moving again!

With walls comes isolation, with isolation there would be more distrust from either side as each could not fully understand the other. Generations would pass but still once a wall is started it only gets bigger with each generation if not physically but mentally. Barriers both in the mind and those that are put up with brick and stone, do more harm to the global community than what it is worth.

you are realy stupid. I think that you only know that wall was made in germany but you don't know the history why the wall was made. for germany it was another matter & terrorist activity has not come in light at that time. however for israel making wall is not a true solution. making wall can't help to prevent the entry of the terrorists in the country & even they can attack by fighterplanes also. they must have to find another solution.

No use. The Israeli's will just break down the wall and build a more encroaching one every single day! If they can justify the murder of so many civillians in Lubnan for the life of one of their grunts, then what do you expect a wall can do? FYI, they've already built a wall to protect themselves!

I have to say that I am glad to see you at least acknowledge that your question is mindless. Mindless questions only beg mindless answers, my dear.
*(Added later):
First of all, if you were "more joking than anything," you shouldn't have asked for "only semi-intelligent answers," because this would tend to imply that you were not joking. And second of all, if your initial question above indicates your "opinion," however "unpopular" (see your first comment), then how is it again that you were "joking?" Were you "more joking than anything" about your own "opinion," or in your additional comments were you just trying to further illustrate the mindless nature of your initial question? That must have been it... Now I get it!! HAHAHAHA NOT FUNNY.

You forgot one small fact in your brilliant equation.A wall can only work if one country defeats the other in a war. Like we did in Germany. A small fact, no country has ever achieved peace without victory, regardless of cost.

The wall was an idea they already had. Too many people are complaining about it and it doesn't work anyway.
