Marriage is most important psychological event in a persons life.

As you have lived/grown with your parents as child and then see couples around then it becomes natural for you to have your own family.

It,s more emotional than any thing else .Physical relationship and children get approval from society and you feel part of the society.

If you can manage without all these no problem, but believe me many times in your life you will feel lonely.you would like to love and care for somebody but that somebody will not be there, you would like to play and bring up children (you will be seeing everybody your age doing same ), but they aren"t there and these will create a vacuum in your life.

If you don't feel like that, that,s you are not a family person then marriage is not necessary for you.

To enjoy a married life both of you have to develop a relationship based on love and care. And respect for each other.

I think our culture sees marriage or at least used to see marriage as a very special union between man and woman. To me it's the merging together of two distinct beings into one... an undertaking that should never be entered into lightly. Marriage is supposed to be enjoyable but for so many it isn't. I think marriage has been used for the wrong reasons these days and we become so dissapointed and dissillusioned because we no longer take the time to really understand what it means. I long for the day's when marriage meant exactly what it's supposed to mean... though it is a good thing that we are able to divorce when it becomes difficult to handle...it is way over used in our society. Instead of learning how to reconcile our differennces and work hard to keep love and companionship alive we learn how to give up, walk away and and become bitter because of it. I don't know whether it is necessary for our life... it is a personal decision one that I believe in for myself but would not force on others.

I don't personally believe in marriage and my girlfriend feels the same way, we have been with each other for over 10 years now and have two children and to be truthful we have never been more happy. All marriage's comes down to is a piece of paper that society has put in place as a moral OK from the community. I have no problem being committed to the woman i love, so why do i need a piece of paper to prove it.

I don't understand the last part to what you are asking.. But yes it can be enjoyable, but it is not necessary. I think it brings stability to a family if you are married. Also you cannot make medical decisions for your husband/wife unless you have the power of attorney. And there is a list of a lot more things i am too lazy to write out.

Marriage is more a responsibility than any other thing, you can make it enjoyable as you want it to be, depending on your spouse.through marriage you are taking the oath that you will obey rules of the society in relation to reproduction /sex and you will take care of each other and kids bring them up according to social norms etc. But you are asking can ou marry anyone, no you can't. First you have to find a wiling partner according to your personal/... wishes/tastes

You can have a fulfilling life without marriage. It is a personal choice. A good marriage can give you a deep and profound sense of sharing and learning...a way to know yourself better while balancing the needs of another. It is done in Love and for the right reasons. A bad one is simply "learning"...or was formed for all the wrong reasons...as many can tell you...and you take from the experience what you can.

marriage is not necessary, it is enjoyable, its just a legal agreement between two people to share life and family. I am very spiritually bound to the man im with, it doesnt require marriage, at our age there really is no legal need since there wont be any children.

Marriage is not necessary for everyone...it's a personal choice.

You can't just marry ANYONE...being married to one person for 60+ years is hard...you have to find someone you are very much in love with to handle that.

Advantages of marriage in the US include taxes and insurance.

You just have to...figure it out for yourself.

MARRIAGE is good but not necessary. If you can live without sharing your life with someone then go ahead. But if you are thinking of a family then marriage is necessary.

I HOPE YOU ARE NOT THINKING ABOUT USING MARRIAGE TO SOLVE A PRESENT PROBLEM. Because that is not marriage supposed to be.

Marriage is necessary. Without marriage, there is no legal or spiritual binding of man and woman.
