Goodness... I thought I was young when I started at 15.
Well, both are very bad for you. But in all honesty, it doesn't matter which you smoke because it is pretty much all the same. I read that when the cigarette company puts terms like "menthol", "lights", "full flavor", they are talking about the taste (from the tobacco). So smoke what you like as far as taste.
Cigarettes generally have the same amount of nicotine/tar/chemicals regardless of brand or flavor. So smoking "lights" is not better (healthier) than smoking "reds" or "menthols" or what not. It is just about personal taste.

I enjoy an ocassional menthol. I do like full flavors for the extra nicotine, but do like an all white 100 for their length and added sexy girl factor. I even like to pull out a 120 from time to time. Its up to you, I think its good to smoke a variety. Always smoking the same either menthol or non menthol gets boring. I like that you made your own choice girl. Way to go, and dont listen to these anti smoking pukes

Why? Why are you 12 & in 7th grade smoking menthols & asking for help if your not going to quit? & why are you smoking? Are you one of the really "cool" smoking kids? WOW....I am soooo impressed! Not only by your being so cool, but you being so strong too...you know...strong enough to tell us all here that you will NOT be quitting! Wait a minute....you are tough enough to tell all of us...(maybe thousands of people)...that you are NOT QUITTING..., yet you are beaten down by one little bad habit? If you are so easily beaten by this one thing at such a young age....then I say smoke 'em if you got 'em tough girl cuz your a LOSER!!!!!

funny i started smoking in 7th grade too. my favorite cigarette is/was marlboro menthol lights. newports are too harsh..and even though you don't feel now, newports will give you a heavy, raw feeling in your chest, especially in the morning. so go with the menthol lights. oh by the way, i smoked for 13 years and i had to quit when i gor pregnant...and i've never felt better in my life! smoking sucks! you stink!

Um, did you know that smoking gives you bags under your eyes and mega wrinkles....not to mention the list of deadly diseases....boys don't like to kiss ashtrays either. Did you also know that were I live cigarettes cost 11 dollars a pack??? Wouldn't your smoke money be better saved for a car or something? Give your head a shake. You are paying for a slow death. How stupid is that? You're right, you shouldn't quit, there's nothing cooler than hauling an oxygen tank around behind you.......

LOL! "NO I AM NOT QUITING" got me.. wow 12 and smoking menthols, you must be awfully 'cool' huh? You'll understand when your about 22 - if you dont quit smoking by then how dumb you were when you were 12. You will regret it and suffer to quit later. And if you dont, you'll end up talking out a hole from your neck. You'll probably smoke from that hole too!

You should switch to "Lucky Strike" filterless. Camel also makes a good filterless cigarette. They both have a good draw though. But why quit menthol, just smoke both, its nice to switch it up every now and then. Guys think its sexy.

Dont see the point of switching - either way you are damaging your health.
Research has proved that that lights and menthols contain more nicotine (and therefore more addictive) than regulars.

Why are you asking such a question? I guess you will smoke whatever you want to smoke. Really doesn't matter - your breathe will stink either way and your skin will be wrinkled from either one - so enjoy what tastes good to you! Let's hope your brain will develop in spite of the lack of oxygen! (I think you must be smarter than this question makes you sound)
