It would depend upon the size of the asteroid.

If relatively small, either the Atlantic or Pacific oceans since the ensuing tsunami's would (hopefully) be relatively small and not terribly destructive. Even if a relatively small asteroid impacted with with either pole there would be quite a bit of melting of the ice cap which would cause water levels to rise dramatically. Land loss, and loss of life could occur.

If the asteroid is large, then no one place is better than another. Or perhaps I should say no one place will be any less catastrophic than another. Total annihilation will most likely occur.

Best Wishes!

in antartica cause no one lived there and its just going to hit the snow and probably melt it in the middle.

if it hits the ocean, a catastrophic tidal wave will create and hurt mankind, that is not good. just imagine what had happened to the tsunami result.

if it hits the mainland, a huge impact will result tragically, building will collapse, houses will be mashed and people will get killed, that is not good either.

it if hits the mountain, the result would be devastating as well, it might start a fire that will burn the houses, the wild plants, trees and kill some wild animal too.

so my choice, definitely antartica...
