In Windows XP you can't create guest account. You can turn Guest account " on or off ". You cannot delete the account called guest. You can make only two type of accounts on XP which are "Computer administrator" and " Limited " which you can delete if you log in on WindowsXP as a Computer administrator.

Users who log on to the computer using the guest account do not have access to password-protected files, folders, and settings.

You can not delete it, but you can disable the guest account.

You must be logged on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group to activate or disable the guest account.

To open User Accounts, click Start, click Control Panel, and then click User Accounts.

No you cannot delete it permanenty. Although you can turn ir OFF so that no one is able to login to your PC as a guest. To turn it off and making it unaccessible for others, go to Control Panel and then to your user accounts and Change an Account, Click on Gust and Turn it Off. It shall be as good as deleting it. Good luck!

You can make it disappear completely, and it's not hard. You probably haven't done anything like this before though.

The procedure is too lengthy for this answer - here's the link:

The reason you can't delete it is because you don't need a password to access it.

Hope that helps.
