Would you get into a vehicle with a thug who pulls a gun on you while youre walking alone? and demand you get into their car, van, truck,etc. or would you take your chances with the guns aim? I honestly hope and sincerely pray this never happens to any of us, but we never know.

No way! Shoot at me. You have a 90% chance of missing and I am NOT giving into any fool, no time, never. You want to commit a crime against me? You've got trouble on your hands. The blood of Jesus is against them. Once you go somewhere with a criminal, armed or not, your chances of dying have NOT decreased. Then have increased exponentially.

I would try to intimidate him first by looking him straight in the eyes with all the intensity possible (always try nonviolence first);
in the unlikely case that he did not drive away, I would quickly survey the scene to see what I could use as a weapon and then decide
(more or less by instinct if it would be easier to take him in the car or outside.)
I would probably get in since I would be closer to him there.
Then the first instant that he took his eyes off me, I would strike him in the least lethal way possible to subdue him.
(His motivation is not important but the end result of having him dead or in prison is what matters.)
