By "well-known store," I meant a physically-based store, not internet.

I was in Provincetown last week. I bought a cheap go set (that pleases me) for $25. I passed up the opportunity to buy an expensive set (around $350) in my home town (San Diego) the week before.

Look around. Find the game stores in your village. The phone book is STILL useful, in this regard. You WILL find go sets, in a wide range of prices. (But going on line isn't a bad way to proceed: you might find a bargain.)

If you mean the asian board game go, you can't get a go board, stones and bowls at any well known store. Even if you go to some asian specialty store and find one there, it probably won't be of a good quality. The place to get a good entire go set would be a website called samarkand.com Sorry, I looked all over my city and could not find a go board. Then found one in a store a long ways away, but wasn't good at all.
