Pregnancy can be the most wonderful experiance in the world. It can also be a time where women feel they look like hell has hit them. For most women in the first trimester you feel like you can never get enough sleep, you wanna puke, and you have this over all feeling of ickyness. For others they dont even notice they are pregnant until they miss one or more periods. Most common signs of early pregnancy are tender breasts, missed period, morning sickness, nausea, tender abdomen and fatigue.
The second trimester is different from the first. In most cases morning sickness goes away (not all cases)& you feel like you have more energy. This os the time your body starts to really change. Your uterus swells with the life inside and you start to feel movement from the fetus. A heart rate can be found no problem. Your breasts may start to leak a little with a fluid called colostrum. This is also the time that back pain (whether a little or alot) starts to happen. From my experiance this is my favourite time of pregnancy.
Third trimester could be the worst for some. For others its more exciting. Your uterus really starts to grow as does your chest (for some women this is a blessing for others its a damned curse). Urination increases what seems tenfold. Babys movements are more noticeable and not as powerful due to the less room they have. Lightening happens anywhere from 32 weeks-labour onset.
Thats when the babys head descends in to the pelvis ready for birth.
Look on any search engine for pregnancy symptoms and what to expect.

the truth is you feel like a blimp for only the last few weeks, but it's not a bad feeling.. you are just a bigger version of yourself. there really are no words to describe the feeling of being pregnant. it is an amazing experience, but you can't really imagine what it's like until you go through it.
ps - not everyone gets stretchmarks. don't believe all the negative things you hear (like in a couple of the above comments)

I loved being pregnant and feeling the baby move. I didnt feel like a blimp that was going to explode, thats not how it works.
Just knowing that you're helping a little person grow inside you is amazing. Its fun to watch your belly move when they roll over, kick or punch.
I cant wait until next summer and we start trying for #3 !!!

There is no way to describe being pregnant. I personally loved it. The birth of course was hard, but very much worth it and I would do it again in a heartbeat, and I plan on it but not until My daughter is 2. Yes sometimes you feel like a beached whale, but what can you expect there is a little person growing inside of you. All I have to say about it is that it is amazing, and you won't feel anything like it until you become pregnant and have a child of your own. :)

im 38 weeks now it sucks the first couple months and the last couple but for me the mid 5/6 month was good feeling the baby being so active at that stage.
Every pain is worth that little baby at the end of all of it.

in the begining I just felt weird (both times), it was hard to really believe that there was a little baby in my womb...In the middle of my pregnancy I was feeling a bit fat and tired by the time I was due I was over it, could wait for it to be over, plus I wanted to see my babies...I remember falling asleep on the toilet when I was about 39 weeks gestation...that was a bit funny, but I was going to the toilet every five minutes so I guess I thought I could just save time...LMAO

Its ok at first, provided you don't have morning sickness. Towards the end you just want it to be over. You feel tired and huge, you can't do simple everyday things like tie your shoes as easily as you use to.

It is a very pleasant and peaceful feeling... you really feel of your self worth being responsible for nurturing and caring for the life within you..... besides, every body seems to care about you... and your husband.... will pamper you like never before... at least mine did ;-)
