but I can't afford a regular house. How stupid am I for living in a trailor? What would you do to move out of one?

I live in FL now and would never live in one. I don't even want to live in a regular house during hurricane season but if you don't have a choice or the money to move then what can you do. I am moving to NC (yes, I know they get hurricanes too but I am hoping if I stay near the mountain area they will not be as bad or as often) in two weeks to get away from the storms here and the heat.

I don't blame you for feeling worried... especially if you live in a hurricane prone area.. if you own it, perhaps you can sell it and use the money to put down on a small starter home, they have all kinds of special loans for first time home owners like Fannie may etc...if that is not possible , why not an apt until you can put some money aside for a down payment? or perhaps moving to an area that is not as prone to this type of weather? your not stupid just because you live in what ever housing you could afford, but perhaps your subconscious is trying to tell you not to continue to press your luck, and make a change before ( God forbid) anything bad happens..... my best wishes to you to be safe !

I hear you there. Houses are horribly expensive though, especially where I live. It's outrageous.
