Ok, let's clarify a few things.
1) Early morning pickup does NOT necessarily have any effect on delivery time. The real issue is the time the Letter Carrier returns to the office after completing the entire route.
2) Mail is sent to offices from the plant in reverse order based upon their physical proximity to the plant. In other words the mail for the farthest offices is processed and shipped out by the plant first and closer offices are then handled in the same way, so that all the offices have a better chance to get the mail out to the customers at a reasonable time.
