so I missed the last pill on my 21 pack, d'oh! i only noticed when i got my period a day early. my question is, do i now have to start the next pack a day early or can i start on the same day of the week as i usually do? would i need a back up method if i didn't start the next pack one day early? and if i do need a back up method, for how long? one day? one week? thanks.

Firstly be very aware missing or even being late 10 minutes on "the pill" can increase your chances of pregnancy so primarily if you dont wanna chance it dont have sex until your back on track for at least 1 week, longer if your really cautious.
