Lou is absolutely right. They built ramps of sand all around and with manual labor and rollers pulled the first blocks into place. Then they extended the ramps so they were always at the same incline and placed the next layer of blocks, and on and on. There were mathematicians and engineers to size each block. When the pyramids were finished they spent many years hauling away the sand. So it's no mystery, simple engineering and manual labor.
(ps Why would aliens build pyramids to house Egyptian Kings. I would think they would have better things to do)

No aliens, sorry. At Sacarra (Sp.?) there are several pyramids which were first attempts to create pyramids. The Step Pyramid was the first. It is several mastabas stacked on top of each other (mastabas were flat mounds placed above burial sites). A second one was then tried, but it was so heavy the angle had to be changed so it wouldn't cave in. It's known as the Bent Pyramid. They finally got it right with the Red Pyramid.
The Egyptians did have tools, they just didn't have the wheel or horses. They used a triangle with a plumb bob on one end to measure whether the stone was level, and they sited off certain stars to make sure the pyramids were facing correctly.
There are 3 theories about how the stones were put in place. Some of the quarries are dug out around the Sphynx, and other stones were floated along the Nile. They didn't have wheels and beasts of burden, but they had a lot of manpower. The first theory is that they used levers to gradually lift the stones into place, then they faced them with limestone. This is considered the least likely of the three. The other two theorize that they used some system of ramps. Dr. Zahi Hawass, who is the Director of Antiquities of Egypt and the Director of the Giza Plateau believes they used a ramp which wound around the pyramid and dragged the stones up by ropes.

The Great Pyramid, the one without the cap stone was built in the First World Age. Long before Man made an entrance to the world stage.

No one really knows for sure how the pyramids were built. Your belief that aliens made them is not new. Have you ever watched, "The Ten Commandments"? That will give you another theory on how they were built. It's a mystery the same as Stonehenge that perhaps one day will be answered for a certainty. It will be interesting.

They know how it was done, it took many days and many people, but they attached sails to the pillars and used the power of the wind to raise their buildings. The wind would blow through the valley and combined with a unique pully system they were able to raise them.

sand ramps
once they finished one level they would add sand ramps leading up the next, and so on. No coincidence they were built in deserts.
