Make sure you go to a good and clean place to have it done. It only hurts for a minute. And it's not from the actual needle, it's when they put the earring in. It makes your eyes tear, but it over so quick. I had a little blood around it for the day. I"ve had mine for over a year and have never had a problem with it. Keep the area clean. It looks really nice when you use a little diamond looking nose ring. I keep mine out at night now. But you have to wait a few months before you can do that. It is easy to put back in. One thing of concern, some employers, do not allow nose rings. My neice had to cover hers with a little band aid for a few months till she was able to remove it during work.

Yes it hurts (medically speaking), the pain doesn't last very long at all though. Some people may experience soreness for days or weeks, while others feel perfectly fine within an hour after being pierced. That all will depend strictly on how you take care of it, and your own genetics for healing, prolonged soreness with wounds, and also your own body for fighting infections. Proper care is a MUST for any piercing, or else you will be in for a world of pain.

A nose piercing usually takes anywhere from 3 to 6 months to heal. It varies on the invidiual, and how good you keep it clean. Some just heal quick, and some heal really slow.

Go to http://www.bmezine.com and look up 'nose piercings' or just 'piercings' for more information. It's one of the most reliable sources around, and has the most amount of stories and photos from people who have had something in the body mod world done.

I didn't feel that it hurt at all. If you ever played sports as a child, it's like getting hit in the face with a volleyball. It stings and brings tears to your eyes, but once it's done you will probably forget it is there. There was no following pain aside from having something shiny in the corner of your vision (it's annoying at first, but you'll be over it in a few minutes). Just keep it clean with ear care solution on the outside and saline solution on the inside. Try not to mess with it too much and you'll love it. Piercing are great, and nose piercings even in the field of business are becoming acceptable. Go for it if you want it. The worst that could happen is you could hate it and you would take it out and it would heal.

Well I thought it really HURT but only for a few minutes (and I bled quite a bit). I had it done in Feb and it was extremely cold out that day. I wouldn't recommend doing it going into cold weather, I ended up with a terrific headache!

I was told to use fragrance free (and preferably colorless) antibacterial soap to keep it clean (also sea salt solution soaks for first 10-14 days) - have never had a problem with infections. It has never bothered me to blow my nose either. By the way, keep your hands away from it if you can.

Pro-you can wear a little diamond (or diamonds) on your face. Con-you won't want to let it close when you remember how it felt as they were doing it-you'll want to wear your nose jewelry forever.

Good luck

It hurts for about 10 minutes after you get it done. It's a big pinch when you do it. I wouldn't suggest doing it if you have allergies, because it really hurts when you're blowing your nose and stuff. Of course it can get infected it you don't clean it on a regular basis. I think they are way more work than they are worth. I ended up taking mine out after about 3 weeks. Also, the hole usually leaves a scar.

i have had my nose pierced for 7 yrs and it has been great the pain is easily over come and if u want some places will numb it i love my nose piercing and wouldnt take it out for anyone
i also have my tragus ears lip and belly pierced and i have had both eyebrows done and nothin hurt more than the tragus. ur likely to avoid infection if u dont knock it and u clean it regularly
u dont have to pay for the salin or the ear piercing solution because sea salt and warm water does the same job and its much cheaper
u mainly have to watch that u dont knock it cos it hurts like buggery wen u do oh and wen u dry ur face with a towel be careful not to pull it
hope this helps

if you want your nose pierced then you should get it done. i have my nose pierced and it doesn't hurt, well maybe a little but only for about 2 mins. and to prevent it from getting infected you need to put this cleaner on it. they sell it were ever it is that you get any kinds of piercings done at.
