What is this "Canned Heat" Jamiroquai talks of having in his heels?

So Jamiroquai has a 60's rock band in his heels? That's a little strange

I think, not quite sure, that this 'canned heat' has to do with sterno, a heat used usually in camping that burns a long time when lit.

I know it is the name of a band.. but that doesn't sound like what Jamiroquai is talking about..

They are an old 1960's rock band that played a lot of blues-based stuff. The singer (or one of them) had a really high voice.
