OH HOGWASH.
Get it?
Harley - hog - hogwash??
I have a 2000 harley with 59,000 miles on it. It has only been to the dealer for the scheduled check ups under warranty. Nothing has broken and the only thing that has worn out was the brake pads and tires. So, what do you say to that?
Must be one heck of a good bike ....don't ya think??
Rode in 105 degree heat, rode in 35 degree cold, rode in thunderstorm blowing sheets of water across the road. It never missed a beat. Never stalled, always starts in about two revolutions.
Gets 40-45 miles per gallon depending on terrain and highway speed.
And, it is still worth 95% of what I paid for it new!!!
Sounds like a winner to me.
Oops, I did have to change the fork seals they started leaking oil. Dealer tells me they were made in Japan!!!!
Ride safe, ride longer..................

Harley Davidson is a good bike, just a bit pricey for what it is. The best reason to ride a Harley (besides preference) is parts availablity. You can still get parts for a 70 year old bike. Try to find parts for a two year old Yamaha. Every late-model Japanese bike I've owned has been a nightmare to find parts for.

You are correct. It is not a BIKE. It is a motorcycle, just like all my Hondas were. Also the Yamaha and the Suzuki. It's new, it runs well, and I'm looking forward to being able to get parts off the shelf for a long time to come. The others are gone, because I'm tired of looking for used parts from someone elses junk.
Besides, my kid died to give it to me.

Mindbender is right. The forks on my 1984 Harley are Showa which is a Japanese brand, The stock carburetors are usually Japanese and the stock starter on my 1984 is Hitachi. Honda Goldwings are built in Ohio. It is more and more of a "world market". I bought my Harley new in 1984, I still love it. It has survived the 117 degree heat of my home which is in Phoenix.

I ride one because I like it and that is reason enough. If you don't like it then you can go F yourself. Harley has come a long way since that bowling ball company owned them back in the 70's. Of course the metric cruiser riding "Harley Davidson experts" can't seem to get that through their narrow minded skulls.

the biggest benefit to having a cup holder on the motorbike is that in case you circulate away with an entire cup, you never, ever would desire to offer up and hold close around Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts or the different poser familiar. some human beings have known this for years. At $80 5 a whack, i'm happy I made my very own. humorous element approximately those variety of negatives - I never hear them in actual life. hardly something beats a sturdy, warm cup once you like one. no longer having to offer up for it shall we me shop using. espresso is physically powerful for tailgaters besides. distinctly if it has cream.

Been riding Harley's most of my life and it just became a lifestyle for me. It's not for everyone - that's why we have a choice.
Ride what you want and leave other people to ride what they want.
One other thing......Shut your yap and loose the attitude, you will be a lot better off.

You may not like the HD bikes, but you show your immaturity and ignorance with questions like these.
People have different tastes, and like different things. Why does that bother you so much?
