Im enrolled in a home inspection school and will start classes soon. Is this a good career to be in? A friend of mine did it and said it was good. How many inspections a week do home inspectors usually make? Can i make a lot of money doing this?

Like any other job or profession, you will get out of it what you put into it. If you work hard and develop a clientele, you will make a good living. If you sit back and wait for the business to come to you, you will soon find yourself looking for another career.

Good luck with your career.

My ex did building inspection for residential and light commercial. Good experience and good job. I think home inspection is different from building inspection. If you are going through ICBO ( International Conference of Building Officials) you would be doing building inspection....lots of areas to specialize in. My dad does electrical inspection for the county.

My cousin John was in home and Building inspections and he's done really well. You become a popular person with real estate agents. Go for it.

I've heard it pays well, and it is more necessary when buying and selling a house than ever.
