Its after the attack that they called victim
so this man kidnaps a women treatens her, keeping her in his house , thats kidnapping for no reason
if he lets her go , or she escapes and tells the police , or the police know and are looking , the police would be looking for they victim , and they will say that she was a victim of a kidnapping,
If he was holding the women for a demand of sum of money or something else, then she a hostage , hostages are only taken in for in a demand that they should get what they are asking and will release the hostage , but if no they will kill the hostage , and again
if a hostage is realese from being hostage , then again they were a victim of a hostage situation.
so its after a attack , or within the situation that they are the victim.
hoped this helped

I'm with Eric on this one. Definately the Abductee. The victim is the one being screwed over for the money. Only later does the abductee beaome a victim - when his family finally decides he wasn't worth the ransom.

"Victim" is an appropriate term. Usually you see it with the modifier: "Kidnapping victim"

Abductee or hostage would be the best bet, tho not the best situation to be in unless of course you planned it yourself and r getting the ransom in which case u become the spendee!!
