This is different for everyone! Some women swear they have symptoms first, some don't get symptoms at all so the pregnancy test is the only way they know. Truth of the matter is, only a doctor can tell you for sure that you are pregnant. If you suspect you are pregnant, either do a home pregnancy test or ask your doctor to order a blood pregnancy test (more reliable faster).

HCG in urine. ALthough blood test is quick too. Most people don't know they are pregnant right away. Sometimes a bad period about to show up can produce pregnancy like symptoms and so can anxiety.

there is a test you can get which will tell you 10days after conception. You don't need to wait for a missed period. the hcg levels are higher in the morning too so sometimes it's best to do the tests then even if they say anytime of day it can be done. Esp. if you aren't late yet.
Good luck

It depends. Some women will test the first day that they miss their period because the know their cycle so well, and some others will test when they start to feel ill. I missed my period by a week, but I had just come off the pill a few weeks before so I thought that my cycles were a little off and then I got queasy eating a salad and tested and was pregnant.

I definitely knew I was pregnant before EPT did. My breasts became unbearable tender. I couldn't STAND it!!!!
The the day before I tested positive, my hunger became ferociously out of control.
