I'm not sure if it can be done in a week, but lots of exfoliation and perhaps a cream/gel that contains hydroquinine (2%) would be useful. Stay out of the sun, and if you must go, wear a sunscreen of at least 15, and cover that up with clothing if possible. Best of luck to you.

one thing you can do is make sure and exfoliate every day. the pigment of your skin will be the lightest on the layers that havent been exposed to the sun (of course). so exfoliating will bring the lighter, fresher skin to the surface. wear alot of sunscreen to prevent the fresher skin from darkening as well.
i've never tried this but i heard lemon juice works too. ive used it to highlight my hair; it gave it a sun-streaked look, and i've heard of people using it to brighten their skin as well-so you could try that and see if it helps.
also, get some sort of cream-colored highlighting eyeshadow or a shimmer lotion. brush/rub some on your browbones, the middle of your nose, and your shoulders. these are the parts of your upper body that get the most sun. if you use a product that catches the light and brightens in those areas, it will decrease the look of bronzed skin.
hope this helps!
