Pueblo is a great community with a good school. It's home to CSU-Pueblo.

You may be able to find something in your price range here in Pueblo, but it's going to be pretty tough. I seriously doubt you'll find anything in Fort Collins or Springs on that budget. It's pushing it for Pueblo even, and it's a lower income community.

But, even at that, it's a great place to live. Here's a few links, and if you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Well I don't know how far anywhere in the country you are going to get looking for a 4bdrm and 2 bath place to rent. I know that Aurora has some apartments under $500 but they may be 2 bedrooms at that. You will find many move in specials though if you look into large apartment complexes. As far as houses to rent you better get a better job because you will be paying at least $1000 a month for a 4 bedroom.

WOW! $500 dollars, not much to survive on. You may want to consider Pueblo, CO. It's a nice retirement type of place. You'd be better off just buying an older home with 4bdrms for that low of a budget. If you do that then Pueblo's definitly the place to settle. The schools are great and it's growing fast. I lived in Pueblo for 10 years. I miss it. Colorado Springs is a beautiful place to live but you'll have a tougher time finding a place with that kind of a budget.

Colorado is not cheap anywhere, but your best bet would be Colorado Springs. There are several schools there, UCCS, USC, Colorado College and others. The wages are bad, and the rent in Colorado Springs sucks. But if you don't mind driving a bit, you can live south in Fountain or east in the Ellicott area and pay less. But if you think you'll find a 4 bedroom 2 bath house anywhere in Colorado for under $500, good luck. I don't want to say you're dreaming, but dream on. I hope you do. But houses in that price range out there usually aren't worth having.

If you want cheaper rent, try somewhere on the Plains (eastern part of the state). If you're wanting a college, try Otero Junior College in La Junta ( www.ojc.edu ) Hopefully that can get you started.

I would have to agree that the Springs is awful costly, and for what you can afford for rent monthly, you ought to look for a roomy.
