Look at them, smile, and say, "I am so sorry but I am terrible when it comes to names........Can you tell me yours again?????? Hopefully my alzhiemer's won't kick in and I will remember." They'll laugh and tell you and probably make a joke out of it...............

I don't know if this will make sense for this but when I don't remember the name of a person, I just politely ask. You are not a computer, you don't have to remember everything!

well you can ask how to spell it if you really dont want them to know that you forgot, but it wouldnt be a big deal if you just told them you forgot in most cases
