Bub, you gotta practice.

You must take some formal training.

You must start to understand the world around you.

You have to really start observing people and understanding their psychological and physiological responses to stimuli.

You must read everything that comes your way - to do with theatre, movies, politics, history, current affairs, myths, sociology, psychology..... and anything else that interests you.

Read at least one play every week and make sure that at least one a month is Shakespeare or Ben Johnson. Speak some of the parts aloud (actually very useful if you are struggling to understand something in Measure for Measure or Volpone, for example).

Be interested in the world around you and in other people. And be totally obsessed with being the best that you can.

Then joining a theatre club, or an amateur group will really make sense. You'll have some experience of performing and people will WANT to see you working.
(and remember it is WORK - not magic - so it takes dedication).

You can't just expect to start off by being in a film or a tv serial, maybe as an extra, but not with a speaking role.

First find a local theatre and start auditioning for plays, as many as you can, don't be picky either! The theatre company is in all probability not going to offer you any pay, don't let this put you off, the 'pay' you will get will be experience which you can use later on. Oh and get on acting classes.

Then when you're ready look for some auditions. It doesn matter if they don't pay you, at this stage it's just about getting some credits on your CV to get an agent and you'll probably going to be working for free for years.

Also you're more likely to be taken seriously if you have some headshots taken and I mean professional headshots, it shows the employers that you have a good attitude and are serious about this.

As an aspiring actor myself I'm currently taking these steps. Another thing there will be times that you want to quit and give up and you feel that for every step forward you take, you take another two steps back.

That's why you have to be determined. Determination is probably mor important than talent in this industry.

I recommend the book 'Act Now' by Peter Jazwinski it's a great book, it's for America but the principles can be applied anywhere.

Finally I wish you good luck from one aspiring actor to another.

Take acting classes for about 10 years, then audition for movies.

If you have any god father it is very easy to get in acting or else you should act in small tv serials, dramas etc., so that your name will be familiar and automatically you can get in acting in movies....if there is a luck.

Plenty of people think they can do our job but they haven't a clue.
You do a formal training and TRY to get regular work.
There is no such thing as 'luck' and talent will out.
You may actually have talent but ours is a profession based on literature and that is clearly beyond your grasp.
